| Since the Postdoctoral Workstation for
Scientific Research was established,it has
implemented the instructions of the General logistics Department
by combining service, teaching and scientific research, always
insisting on providing services for the development of high-level
medical experts, for turning results of scientific research
into clinic applications, and for improving the comprehensive
strength of the hospital. With hard study and efforts, it has
gained positive effects and has set a good foundation for future
development and construction. |

Our Postdoctoral Workstation for Scientific Research was established through
approval of the Ministry of Personnel in August 2002. For
more than one year since its establishment, we have completed
the tasks in the following five aspects in accordance with
relevant provisions of the State and the Army on postdoctoral
workstations:
After the establishment of the Workstation, the Party Committee
of the hospital held a special meeting on the issue of building
the Postdoctoral Workstation for Scientific Research. It was
decided at the meeting to establish a Postdoctoral Leading
Team with President Wang and Commissar Jia as the team leaders,
and a committee of experts comprised of nine persons with
doctor tutors Gu Xiaoming and Feng Guangzhen as the chairperson
members; meanwhile, a specialist was assigned to take charge
of this work.
To
standardize the work of the Postdoctoral Workstation of Scientific
Research, in July 2003, According to with related provisions
on postdoctoral work by the Ministry of Personnel, and considering
the actual conditions of our hospital, we formulated and issued
"Interim Management Measures on the Postdoctoral Workstation
for Scientific Research of the General Hospital of Chinese
People's Armed Police Forces".
The leading team and the members of Committee of Experts were
appointed; the subjects and research direction of the Workstation
were confirmed temporarily; the various specialities for postdoctoral
candidates to be enrolled and enrolling procedures were confirmed;
the postdoctoral work flow for entering and leaving the Workstation
was systemized; functions and responsibilities of related
departments and section offices of the Workstation were worked
out, and 38 rules on management were issued.

In the
first half of 2003, through investigations in various criteria,
we chose the Medical School of Beijing University and Capital
Medical University as cooperators, and signed an agreement
on training postdoctoral graduates cooperatively. It specifies
the responsibilities, obligations, rights and interests of
both parties.

|
First,
we released the information of enrolling postdoctoral researchers
to the society. Next, we conducted interviews, reviewing and
examining the twelve doctors meeting the conditions of entering
the Workstation. Through strict selection and experts' votes,
three postdoctoral researchers were finally chosen (one for
each of dentistry, brain trauma and transplantation).
