As our hospital joined in the whole army’s telemedical information network in October 2004, and established the telemedical two-way satellite station, the function of the hospital as the telemedical center of the Armed Police Forces has been fully exerted. Manyspecialists such as Xiao Lihua and Gu Xiaoming have organized remote consultation service for more than one hundred cases throughout the army, and the hospital has been praised by many officers and soldiers of the Armed Police Forces. In 2005, the hospital has consulted with the Gastroenterology department and the General surgery department of the General Hospital of Nanjing Command for the first time through the army’s telemedical information network. The patient was satisfied with the treatment. We are implementing the concept of “providing good service to the officers and soldiers”, which was brought forward by the hospital’s management.
